The Dominican Canoeing and Kayaking Association (FEDORECA) began in El Seibo, recruitment centers for training athletes and coaches, that had been announced recently by the president of that federation, journalist Andrés Osiris Tejeda Cessé.
The director also announced, in a press release, that these young athletes will participate in the Miches 2019 Sports Festival, under the organization of the provincial governor, Gerardo Casanova, as well as the senator from the province of El Seibo, Radhamés Zorrilla.
For the start of the important training center, Fedoreca delivered to the Canoe and Kayaking Association of El Seibo four kayak-type boats with their respective paddles, with which the trainer Luis Manuel Abreu and the experienced athlete Anthonely Viloria share the instructions to the young people who are initiated in the Canoe.
The center of athlete recruitment and training of coaches were made known by Tejeda Cessé during a tour made in Arriba Beach in company of the governor Casanova; the mayor of Miches, Federico Bencosme, and the provincial director of the Ministry of Sports, Lalane José Martínez.
Coaches Bryans Chalas and Julio César Martínez also participated in this tour. Together with Tejeda, they verified the conditions and attractions of the place for the practice of canoe.
Tejeda Cessé said that Fedoreca has for its development and expansion projects with the support of the Ministry of Sports; of the Dominican Olympic Committee (COD); of the Pan-American Confederation and the International Canoe Federation (COPAC-ICF), as well as the Pan-American Confederation and the International Rowing Federation (Copare-Fisa).
