Lima 2019 – Argentina guarantees the highest number of gold medals in Canoe Sprint

There were four gold medals in total, on the last day Canada also rises twice at the highest point of the podium.

Argentina finishes with four gold medals, one silver and two bronzes, the last was won on Tuesday (30) in the Women’s 200 meters K1 race with athlete Sabrina Ameghino, the podium was completed by the Canadian Andréanne Langlois and the Mexican Beatriz Briones with the bronze.

Canada comes out with a balance of three gold, five silver, two bronzes. For the Women’s K2 500 meters with Andréanne Langlois and Alanna Braylougheed, who took the silver was the Argentine duo Maria Garro and Brenda Rojas, the bronze went to Mexico with Beatriz Briones and Karina Alanis.

In Men’s K1 200 meters, Canadian athlete Dominik Crete took first place, Cesar de Cesare of Ecuador came second and Ruben Rezola of Argentina third.

For the women’s C1 200 meters race, the American Nevin Harrison secured the gold, Maria Mailliard from Chile with the silver and Cuban Mayvihanet Borges with the bronze.

There were 12 races in the four days of Canoe Sprint competitions in Huacho.
